So I just finished the virgin suicides and to be honest was not impressed. the story line was okay but the perspective was kind of annoying. it was a decent book and I am glad I read it but its not one I would recommend. next is beat generation by, of course, kerouac.

did you read middlesex yet? i had the same reaction. it might just be eugenides.
i loved both virgin suicides and middlesex. i didn't expect to enjoy them but i didn't and couldn't put them down. but i see your point though, the perspective is kinda annoying.
i thought that middlesex was too unrelateable.
